Bhavya Agrawal, Varanasi charcoal artist and BHU graduate

Bhavya Agrawal

Based in Varanasi, I work mainly in charcoal and tinted pastels, mediums that feel as raw and alive as the people and places I draw.

My work builds layer by layer. I often start with something clean, then push and rework the surface until the piece finds its own mood. I'm drawn to movement, shadow, and the quiet tension between what's defined and what's still forming.

I studied fine art at Banaras Hindu University and later design at the National Institute of Design. That mix of art and making still shapes how I create charcoal art from my studio in Varanasi.
